“Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay." Matthew 28:5-6
"Easter Day is not simply the happy ending after the sad and dark story of Holy Week. Easter is the start of something. It isn’t the ending… The four Gospels tell the story of Easter Day as the beginning of something. Because it comes at the end of their books, we think that it’s rounding off the story. That’s it. End of conversation. Jesus has been raised from death. He’s gone to heaven. That’s it. No. The way they tell the story, it has a sort of dot, dot, dot to it—that something new has happened. And where’s it going? - NT Wright
