Today Pastor Tom will be leading our study on the Belhar Confession, teaching us that forgiveness and reconciliation are part of the Christian vocabulary, but it is so much harder to live out than it is to say! We will see how purpose, grieving and forgiveness can help us reconcile with others.

Flowers are Provided By: Carrie Blanck in delightful celebration of her granddaughter Cora’s birthday and in remembrance of mom’s, Sandy Free’s, birthday. “May the winds of Heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear, how much we love and miss you and wish that you were here.” ~ all-greatquotes.com.
Community Trunk or Treat: We are excited to be hosting a community “Trunk or Treat” on Wednesday, October 28, from 6:00-7:30 pm.! To make this happen, we need lots of volunteers! Are you willing to decorate your vehicle and bring a bag of candy to pass out to the kids in our parking lot? If so, please contact Joey South or Carol Carlson to let them know.
Thanksgiving Baskets: Praise God, we sold 55 baskets this year! We will be assembling these baskets in the Family Life Center after the service, on Sunday, November 22, and then delivering them to the specified addresses on our list that same day. We are going to need lots of help with this! Therefore, if you can stay after church that day to help with either assembling the baskets, delivering them, or both, we would be extremely grateful! There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the Narthex. Please write down your name there if you are willing to volunteer, or you may let Joe Ernst or Stacia know.
Search Team Update: Moving forward with God! The search team met last week to review the Lead Pastor applications submitted and discern which candidates would be selected for interviews. We are excited to share, interviews are currently being scheduled and will commence next week. In an abundance of COVID-19 caution, interviews will be conducted via Zoom at this time, with review of candidate resources behind the scenes. We rest knowing, God's timing is perfect!
God's got us! And we've got God!
Please continue to pray for the search process and our future pastor. Specific prayer requests:
· Our future pastor is prepared and/or being prepared
· Our future pastor's life ministry aligns with our mission, vision & values
· Our future pastor yearns to lead ICRC to fulfill God's preferred future
· Search Team remains healthy and productive

We Thank God for Our CONNECT Team Leaders: who have found unique and exciting ways to help our children grow even when we cannot meet together for Kid’s CONNECT at this time.
Currently our team has planned a "Moments of Devotion” series, where kits are assembled with a devotion, an activity, and a prayer to be add to their “Prayer Key Chain”. The kits are then delivered by our team leaders, every other week, to the children’s homes, or they are sent out by mail.
If you have a child or children that you would like to be included in this series, please let one of our team leaders know: Linda Burcham, Julie Lewis, Carrie Blanck, Sandy Carey, or Katie Secor. You can also email us at: office@icrclansing.org, with your child’s name, address, and your preferance of delivery, and we will be happy to add them to the list.
Text Alerts: We now have a new tool at our fingertips to help keep you up to date with what is happening here at ICRC. We are going to be using text alerts to keep you informed. The alerts will come from (517) 888-7088, please note that although you can respond to these messages when they come, they go directly to our office email, so they are not seen right away.
Your Leaders are so thankful for your fervent prayers:
