Flowers are provided by: Carrie B in honor of Cora’s Birthday and in loving memory of her mother Sandy’s birthday!
October Mission of the Month: “No Senior Without a Christmas”- TRIAD fills 350 boxes with household supplies, non-perishable food, and holiday cheer. The boxes are then delivered to needy, older adults living in the tri-county area by a uniformed law enforcement officer or fire personnel. We will be collecting bottles of shampoo as well as taking a special offering on 10/21 for this special event. There will be a box outside of the sanctuary beginning 10/7.
Sunday School / Children and Worship: Sunday School will be from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. – Children and Worship is for 3yr olds through 2nd grade. For the safety of the children, a parent or responsible adult must be present before the children will be released.
Backpack Ministry- Next Sunday we will be filling bags. If you are interested in helping, please come downstairs to the pantry directly after service! The more helpers the better! Thank you so much!
Crop Walk: Next Sunday! Registration begins at 1:00 p.m., walk begins at 2:00 p.m., please keep all of our walkers and rockers in your prayers and give to a worthy cause by pledging a donation to one or more of them.
CONNECT: Please join us for dinner Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. Activities for the kids will begin at 6:15 p.m. The lesson for this week will about being naughty or nice. “What would Jesus do?” The kids will be making a beautiful stained glass vase for your fall flowers!
A Night of Fun and Food: Saturday, October 20, we will be having an all church game night! Everybody is invited to bring their favorite game and their favorite snack to church. Tables will be set up in the choir room. All ages invited! A sign up sheet has been posted on the bulletin board in the Family Life Center!
Painting with Sandi S: There will be painting with Sandi this week on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and every other Tuesday following. Come get creative and join in the fun!
Rick and Jackie H will present their travels to Uganda on Sunday, October 21 at 4:30 pm. Rick has much more to show us than we have seen in his presentation on September 7. Refreshments will follow the travelogue. There is a signup sheet in the family Life center. Please come and experience Uganda!
An Evening of Southern Gospel Music at South Church: Friday October 26, 2018. Sheryl E would like to order group tickets for our church. Tickets are $12 each. If we get group tickets, we can get in early and sit together! Please let Sheryl know if you are interested.
Thanksgiving Plans? If there is enough interest, plans will be made to share a Thanksgiving dinner at church at 5:30 p.m. Thanksgiving day. The turkey will be cooked at church and participants will be asked to bring a dish to share. The members of Siloam Nepali congregation are being invited to participate as well! A signup sheet is posted in the Family Life Center.
Christmas Program: We are looking for participants (actors/ performers/ helpers) of all ages. There is a sign up poster in the Family Life Center with more details. We would like to have an idea of participation before October 21 so that we can finalize the cast and plan accordingly. Any questions please see Karla T.
Thank you to all of you who have assisted in making our grounds look beautiful this summer! There were many of you who mowed, weeded flowerbeds, and planted flowers.
